The simple answer is no. Each plant requires a different method to create

are not guaranteed to produce an identical plant.

In most cases the answer in no. This is because the apples grown today
consists of grafted stock. The root and bottom part of a vigorous but rather poor tasting
apples tree are used to support the top growth of probably the apple you tasted. The
method is called grafting. The method is also used for growing other fruits and roses
too.
