Chimeneas
Chimeneas are believed to have originated in Mexico. It was developed by
tribesmen to provide a vessel for cooking and heating and designed to keep rain
off the fire. These original chimeneas were made from clay as were the first
imports. Steel and cast iron chimeneas are now being produced that are more
capable of standing the thermal shocks that the colder weather creates. Some
chimeneas are designed to burn charcoal, wood, or both.
